CD: What a relief it is that I’m not the only person guilty of rifling through stranger’s photographs. Except, Myles, owner of the eclectic book store and gallery, Ampersand, who doesn’t appear to feel guilty at all. In fact he sells the really good ones he finds for $5 a piece. He’s also combined his archival tendencies with his love for books and art, which is why I could spend hours in his shop, brushing up on cultural art theory à la Susan Sontag, checking out the store’s Holga cameras, coveting old naturalist prints. A visit to Ampersand brings out the artistic voyeur in all of us.
